HP AuthorizationSelling
systems and storage products requires authorization from HP. There
are two layers of authorization that affect the products the Tech Data
distributes:
NOTE: The "Storage Select" authorization is obsolete as of 11/1/11,
transition authorization is full EAP.
BDA - Business Development AgreementThis authorization covers non Smart Buy ProLiant ML, DL, and BL
servers, certain Storageworks software products including Data
Protector and StorageWorks Storage Mirroring, and the services relevant to these products. and the
services that pertain to these product sets. You must apply to become a BDP (Business Development Partner). Here are some documents that will
assist you in understanding and expediting this process:

Storageworks Enterprise Authorized Partner (EAP) Addendum
The EAP (Enterprise Authorized Partner) Addendum grants the reseller
the ability to purchase the 3Par, EVA (Enterprise Virtual Array), the ESL and
EML enterprise tape libraries, the Storageworks
software that pertains to EVA storage, including CommandView EVA,
Storage Essentials, Business Copy, and Continuous Access, and the services relevant to these
products.
EAP authorization is highly exclusive, and is restricted to certain
Storageworks regions in terms of the training and technical staffing
requirements.
