Tech Data Designated Exclusive Provider of CTO Desktops, Notebooks and Intel Servers for HP's 2005 National Master Standing Offer
Mississauga, ON - November 2, 2004 - For the fourth consecutive year, Tech Data Canada has been selected as the HP National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) Preferred Channel Services Provider for configured-to-order (Intel) products, consisting of desktops, notebooks and Intel-based servers in Canada.
Tech Data's well-developed HP NMSO program is designed to help resellers manage the government ordering process in an easy and straightforward manner. The exclusive arrangement with Hewlett-Packard Canada allows resellers to consolidate their ordering, manage quality control, maximize the effectiveness of rebates and ensure government P.O. verification.
"Having managed HP's NMSO CTO business exclusively for the past three years, we've been able to optimize our operations to best fit the needs of HP and its community of authorized resellers," said Frank Haid, Vice President, Sales, Tech Data Canada. "We dedicate the necessary resources to provide HP the highest levels of service. Given the tight time constraints for NMSO orders, this consolidation of services improves our responsiveness and reduces delivery lead times."
Tech Data will also provide resources to help resellers compete more effectively for government orders by consolidating the purchase and administration of all HP products, including peripherals and accessories.
HP NMSO resellers will have access to a dedicated and experienced program support team and are able to place orders online 24 hours a day on Tech Data's Web site or via telephone.

- Enhanced reporting information on purchases to assist with RSO (reseller sales out) requirements

HP NMSO resellers will have access to program information and resources prior to and throughout the first quarter of the government buying season. First, Tech Data and HP will host information sessions and meetings providing a review of services, resources and processes as well as program and product updates later this quarter. In addition, an online NMSO resource centre will be featured on Tech Data's Web site. The resource centre will include process documents and program tools to help resellers manage the administrative aspects of the NMSO program efficiently and seamlessly. The online resource will be available in November, 2004.
