Meet Patricia Ramos
Director Marketing, LAC
Patricia Ramos serves as director for Strategic Marketing, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) for Tech Data Corporation. In this role since January 2013, she has built a marketing team that shares campaigns and best practices among different countries and worked with the company’s business units to help them increase sales with events and campaigns. She has also organized and helped to implement the system that manages the different authorization processes for vendor marketing funds for Latin America.
Ramos leads the LAC marketing team. and over the last seven years has held various marketing roles. In Mexico, she has run the Sinergias event for seven years, making a real impact in the Mexican marketing event circuit. With her efforts in implementing innovations each year, Sinergias is considered one of the most important events in the Mexican IT industry. She also led the “somos gente Avnet” campaign that was released just after their acquisition of Tallard Technologies, with the objective of increasing collaboration among the various teams that were integrated. In addition, she assumed greater leadership by taking on the role of event coordinator for the annual Excalibur LAC event for five years.
Ramos has nearly 25 years of experience in the technology sector, starting out as a product marketing manager for Acer Altos servers, and much of her career has been spent developing and enabling resellers for Mexico and the LAC market. She participates in several product launch campaigns around LAC, and developed a program for certified resellers.
Ramos is a graduate of La Salle University with a Computer Engineering degree (Ingeniería Cibernética y Ciencias de la Computación ). She also is a certified chef.
