CLEARWATER, FL-- Tech Data Corporation, a leading global distributor of technology products, today announced the appointment of James M. Cracchiolo to its board of directors. Mr. Cracchiolo is president of American Express Travel Related Services (TRS) International, a subsidiary of the American Express Company, specializing in worldwide travel, financial and network services.

Mr. Cracchiolo, 41, joined American Express in 1982. His previous positions with American Express include chief financial officer and vice president of operations for the company's direct marketing business, senior vice president for TRS International and president of the company's Global Network Services division. Mr. Cracchiolo is also a member of American Express' Planning and Policy Committee that oversees the strategic development and direction of the organization.
